Legal
Terms of Use
Effective 16 August 2026. These terms are the End User License Agreement (EULA) for the SettledBills iPhone app and this website. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies to the App Store copy of the app. If Apple’s standard EULA and these terms conflict for a purchase, Apple’s terms control the transaction. Purchases are sold by Apple, not by a website checkout.
The app
SettledBills is a personal bill list. It shows what you entered, from which account label you chose, and what’s still unpaid. Payday strips are optional in Settings. It does not pay billers, move money, or connect to a bank.
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive license to use the app on Apple devices you own or control, as Apple allows. You may not reverse engineer, resell, or misuse the service.
Your data
Bills live on your device unless you export them. You are responsible for backups before you delete the app or change phones. Restore replaces all SettledBills data on that phone. We are not responsible for lost bills if no backup exists.
Amounts, due dates, and “paid” status are what you record. They are not a statement from a biller and may be wrong if you enter them wrong. Privacy details are in the Privacy Policy.
Free plan
The free plan includes 10 fully usable active bills. Additional active bills go on hold until you archive one or upgrade. On-hold bills can be viewed; they cannot be edited, marked paid, or reminded. Nothing is deleted when a bill goes on hold.
Pro — what you get
Pro unlocks unlimited active bills, plus edit, mark paid, and reminders on all of them, and widgets that show every live bill. Family Sharing may apply where Apple allows it.
If Pro ends, nothing is deleted. The oldest 10 active bills stay usable; the rest go on hold until you upgrade again or archive to free a slot.
Auto-renewable subscriptions
Pro is sold only as an in-app purchase on the App Store. Title, length, and price appear on the purchase screen. Display examples (your App Store storefront may differ):
- Pro Monthly — auto-renewable subscription, length 1 month. Example price US$3.99 per month.
- Pro Yearly — auto-renewable subscription, length 1 year. Example price US$39.99 per year.
The price charged is the price Apple shows you at confirmation for your country or region, in your local currency. Prices can change for future periods as Apple and the App Store allow; you will be charged the then-current price at renewal unless you cancel.
Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period. You can manage the subscription and turn off auto-renewal by going to your Account Settings after purchase: iPhone Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions.
Any unused portion of a free trial, if one is offered, is forfeited when you purchase a subscription. SettledBills does not currently offer a free trial; this sentence applies if a trial is shown in the App Store.
Cancel anytime in Apple ID settings. Refunds, if any, are handled by Apple under Apple’s refund rules — ask Apple, not SettledBills. Restore Purchases in the app brings Pro back on this Apple ID after a reinstall.
One-time Pro (if offered)
A Founder or lifetime offer, if shown in the app, is a one-time in-app purchase, not a subscription. It does not auto-renew. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation.
Acceptable use
Use SettledBills for your own household bills. Do not use it to break the law, probe the service, or send automated mail to support.
This website
The site is informational. You cannot buy Pro here. App Store availability, prices, and features may change. Links to Apple or other sites are not under our control.
Disclaimer
The app and site are provided “as is.” We do not promise uninterrupted service, perfect totals, or that a reminder will fire if iOS blocks notifications. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, SettledBills is not liable for lost data, missed payments, late fees, or indirect damages arising from use of the app. Our total liability for a claim is limited to the amount you paid for Pro in the 12 months before the claim, or zero if you only used the free plan. Some places do not allow these limits; they apply only as far as they can.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top will change. Keep using the app after an update means you accept the new terms. We may stop offering the app or any plan.
